ALFAGOMMA – Mangone Plant

ALFAGOMMA is a world leader in the production of high and low pressure fluid handling solutions. With over 95 locations in 24 countries and a global production network, it represents one of Italy’s industrial excellences on the international scene.

In 2022, Quantum carried out a complete lighting upgrade at the Mangone plant in the province of Cosenza. The objective of the operation was twofold: to significantly improve visibility and safety conditions within the operational areas and to achieve a drastic reduction in energy consumption and running costs.

The intervention involved all the functional areas of the site, including the production areas, logistics warehouses, offices and outdoor spaces. After an accurate survey and lighting analysis phase, an ad hoc project was developed, integrating high-efficiency LED bodies and an automatic light control system based on the presence and natural brightness. The result: a safer and more comfortable working environment, a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions and certified energy savings of 78%. The system was also dimensioned and installed according to the UNI EN 12464-1:2021 standard, ensuring full compliance and long-term performance.
