Alfagomma – S. Atto Plant

As part of an energy efficiency plan extended to several production sites, Quantum also collaborated with ALFAGOMMA on the renovation of the lighting system at the S. Atto plant in Abruzzo. The intervention, carried out in 2022, represented a fundamental step towards improving productivity and structurally reducing the plant’s energy consumption.

The project included all functional areas: production departments, automated warehouses and outdoor areas. The integrated approach made it possible to precisely map each environment, identifying ideal illuminance levels and specific requirements in terms of safety, visibility and visual comfort for staff.

State-of-the-art LED luminaires were selected and installed, controlled by a centralised system that regulates intensity and switching according to presence and time. This has ensured a rational use of energy, contributing to an overall energy saving of 78%.In addition to the economic benefit, the intervention has led to a reduction in annual CO₂ emissions of hundreds of tonnes, demonstrating the project’s effectiveness also from an environmental point of view. The installation is now UNI EN 12464-2021 compliant, with levels of reliability, durability and light quality fully in line with the requirements of an advanced production site.
