Benasedo – Varese

Benasedo S.p.A. is an Italian industrial excellence specialising in the production of synthetic resins for the paint and ink industry. Always attentive to sustainability and innovation, the company chose Quantum for the complete redevelopment of the external lighting system of its production plant in Varese, with the aim of combining energy efficiency, operational safety and respect for the environment.

In 2021, Quantum developed and implemented a bespoke outdoor project to replace the previous installation, which was outdated and no longer in line with performance and regulatory requirements. The project involved the installation of 50 LED lighting points designed to ensure high levels of illuminance, reduce consumption and containlight pollution, a particularly important aspect in production areas facing urban spaces or sensitive environments.

Thanks to an accurate lighting design, based on the actual operating conditions of the plant, the new lighting system allowed for a significant improvement in visibility and safety in the outdoor spaces, facilitating a more efficient management of evening and night operations and improving the visual comfort of the staff.

The intervention resulted in an annual energy saving of 74%, with a drastic reduction in operating costs and CO₂ emissions associated with electricity consumption. The use of the latest generation of luminaires, combined with a design logic oriented towards sustainability, has allowed the plant’s environmental footprint to be significantly improved.The project with Benasedo represents a perfect example of smart and efficient industrial lighting, realised in full compliance with technical and environmental regulations, and demonstrates how a targeted and well-planned intervention can generate immediate and lasting benefits for the advanced chemical industry.
