Bottega Verde – Colorno

During 2023, Bottega Verde, a leading Italian company in the production of natural cosmetics, once again chose Quantum Lighting for the complete redevelopment of the lighting system inside its production plant in Colorno (Parma). The plant houses the entire industrial process, from the processing of raw materials to the packaging of the finished product: a highly specialised context, which requires very high standards in terms of quality, safety and operational continuity.

Pharmaceutical and cosmetic environments must meet extremely strict criteria in terms of hygiene, quality control and safety, and lighting is a crucial element in ensuring compliance with these parameters. High illuminance levels, high colour rendering (CRI ≥80) for the accurate evaluation of materials and products, optical uniformity and reduced glare are required, in full compliance with current regulations.

The work entrusted to Quantum was designed and carried out within a very tight timeframe to meet the need for production continuity and to minimise interference on active lines. Thanks to our structured operating method, based on turnkey solutions, the job was successfully completed guaranteeing:

• A certified energy saving of 78% compared to the previous installation;
• A marked improvement in visual comfort for operators, in all areas of the site;
• Achieving illuminance levels fully compliant with EN 12464-1 for indoor working environments;
• Glare reduction through the adoption of luminaires optimised for technical and sterile environments;
• Increased operational safety and accuracy in visual inspections.

The intervention included all strategic areas of the plant: laboratories, production areas, packaging and logistics, with technical solutions designed specifically for each function.
