Bracco – Ceriano Laghetto

Bracco Imaging is an Italian multinational company and world leader in diagnostic imaging. With over 90 years of history and an international industrial and scientific presence, Bracco constantly invests in innovation, including through initiatives aimed at making its production sites more sustainable and efficient.

In 2022, Quantum carried out a major digital lighting upgrade at the Ceriano Laghetto (MB) factory, working closely with the group’s in-house engineering team. The objective was twofold: to optimise energy consumption and increase the quality of the working environment through the integration of an intelligent lighting system based on LED technology and advanced management.

At the heart of the project is the Q-Light® system, a platform developed by Quantum that enables precise and dynamic control of the lighting system. Thanks to this technology, each lighting point can be programmed, adjusted or monitored in real time, even remotely, through a simple web interface. This allowed Bracco to define different usage scenarios based on shifts, available daylight and staff presence, with maximum flexibility and operational precision.

The LED installation, custom-designed for the plant’s industrial and logistics environments, has led to a marked improvement in lighting quality, with uniformity, reduced glare and greater visual comfort for operators. According to the design analysis, the new installation provides potential energy savings of 72.4%, contributing to a significant reduction in operating costs and CO₂ emissions.

The project realised for Bracco is a concrete example of how the digitisation of the lighting system can become a strategic tool for efficiency, sustainability and safety. Light thus becomes not just a service, but an intelligent asset, fully integrated in the modern management of industrial buildings.
