Epsotech – High Resistance Light

Epsotech, a leading European manufacturer of high-quality thermoplastic sheets and coils, has chosen Quantum for the complete efficiency upgrade of its lighting system at its production plant in Cuggiono (MI).

The site is characterised by particularly harsh and aggressive operating conditions, with high levels of humidity, chemical emissions, vapours and processing residues that constantly put any technical components installed within the production perimeter to the test. In such contexts, luminaire reliability and correct lighting design are not accessories, but critical success factors.

Quantum approached the project starting from a careful preliminary analysis of the environment and the plant’s usage profiles, translating this information into a technical design capable of guaranteeing resistance, efficiency and durability. Some 400 new generation LED lighting fixtures were installed, carefully selected to guarantee maximum performance even in the presence of corrosive agents and high temperatures.

The adoption of high-resistance LED technology, integrated with dimmable flux solutions, has achieved a measured energy saving of 82% compared to the previous configuration, while maintaining very high standards in terms of light quality, operational safety and visual comfort for operators.

After some time, the system continues to guarantee low maintenance costs and high operational reliability, confirming the importance of a rigorous approach to lighting design in complex environments.Epsotech has thus been able to transform lighting from a simple technical infrastructure to a strategic lever for the sustainability, safety and efficiency of its production facilities.
