GFK – New Offices

In the heart of the transforming Milan, in the lively Navigli district, Quantum was involved in the lighting installation for the new Italian headquarters of GfK Italia, a multinational company specialising in strategic analysis and consulting services.

A complex and challenging project right from the initial phase, with a contemporary office building designed not only to meet energy efficiency and sustainability criteria, but also to integrate harmoniously into the surrounding urban environment, characterised by a strong architectural and social identity.

In collaboration with the designers and the client, Quantum developed a customised lighting solution, combining aesthetics, functionality and maximum operational flexibility. The lighting concept involved the use of over 700 high-efficiency LED luminaires, selected to meet the technical requirements of each environment (open space, meeting rooms, executive offices, breakout areas, entrances) and to fit in with the building’s essential and contemporary architectural style.

A key element of the project was the incorporation of the Quantum Light Manager (QLM™) intelligent management system, which allowed advanced management of the luminaires according to the presence, natural brightness and specific needs of each room. The system guarantees precise control of the luminous fluxes, the possibility of modifying layouts in real time, and continuous monitoring of consumption and performance, ensuring concrete and lasting savings.

The facility, designed to accommodate multi-disciplinary teams and highly dynamic activities, found QLM™ to be a key tool for adapting the lighting to the continuous organisational changes, supporting productivity, visual comfort and people’s well-being.

The lighting project for GfK Italia is an emblematic case of how light can become a strategic asset within a modern working environment, capable of enhancing architecture, efficiency and operational intelligence.
