Sinvest S.r.l. – Warehouse

In a rapidly evolving manufacturing sector such as the one managed by Sinvest S.r.l., a Storti Group company, operational efficiency is also measured by the ability to adapt the infrastructure to the production requirements of the moment. For this reason, Quantum was commissioned to design and implement a lighting redevelopment project in a dynamic industrial context, characterised by frequent changes in processing cycles and the spatial division of activities.

The installation illuminated a large operational warehouse divided by function, but subject to frequent reconfigurations: a flexible, intelligent and highly efficient system was therefore required. Quantum designed and installed around 200 LED lighting points, each equipped with integrated presence and brightness sensors, able to adapt the luminous flux in real time to the environmental and operating conditions. This approach avoided waste due to over-lighting and at the same time ensured adequate lighting where and when it was really needed, without operational interruptions.

One of the distinctive aspects of the intervention was theuse of customised control logics, capable of assessing not only the presence of operators or vehicles, but also the position of the lighting point and its specific role in the environment in which it is installed. The result is a system that responds precisely to the context and ensures efficiency without compromising the quality of light.

After one year of continuous monitoring, thanks to our reporting system updated every 15 minutes, it was possible to certify an overall energy saving of 85% compared to the historical baseline. A figure that exceeded initial forecasts and confirmed the soundness of the project approach adopted.

The new plant has also enabled Sinvest to:

• Significantly reducing the installed power per lighting point
• Improving the overall illuminance of the entire warehouse
• Accessing White Certificates (Energy Efficiency Certificates)
• Obtain an immediate economic return, already from the first bill

The Sinvest case demonstrates how, even in complex and dynamic production environments, targeted and intelligent lighting refurbishment can generate measurable, sustainable and replicable results.
