Berlin Packaging – Modugno Project

The lighting retrofit project at the Modugno facility covered all operational areas, from production lines to warehouses, goods-handling zones, offices, and outdoor spaces. The goal was to improve lighting quality, ensure safety and comfort for all employees, and achieve a significant reduction in energy consumption.

Quantum conducted a comprehensive technical survey to analyze the existing system and identify areas with lighting inefficiencies and energy waste. Based on this assessment, a customized solution was developed, completely replacing fixtures with state-of-the-art industrial LEDs, carefully selected to ensure high performance, reliability, and long lifespan.

To enhance energy efficiency, motion and luminance sensors were installed, allowing fully automated lighting control based on personnel presence and available daylight. The system automatically adjusts light intensity, reducing waste while maintaining uniform and comfortable illumination. The results were tangible: energy savings, reduced maintenance, improved visual comfort, enhanced workplace safety, and a positive impact on productivity. This project demonstrates how innovation, sustainability, and employee well-being can coexist in a modern industrial setting.
