Fincantieri – Trieste Project
The Fincantieri facility in Trieste, a strategic hub of Italian shipbuilding, saw Quantum engaged in a complete lighting retrofit, covering production areas, warehouses, and external zones. The main goal was to optimize energy efficiency, ensure worker safety, and enhance working conditions.
The project began with a comprehensive technical survey and energy consumption analysis, aimed at identifying inefficiencies in the existing system and developing a tailored solution. All outdated fixtures were replaced with high-efficiency LEDs, while the QLight™ system enabled centralized management and control of light flows based on actual operational needs.
Special attention was given to uniform light distribution and glare reduction, increasing visual comfort and safety. The intelligent system dynamically adjusts lighting according to activities, staff presence, and natural light levels, reducing waste and consumption.
Key results include:
- Significant reduction in annual energy consumption;
- Optimization of operational and maintenance costs due to the long life of LEDs;
- Improved visual comfort and employee well-being;
- Enhanced safety in the most critical areas of the facility.
Thanks to this retrofit, Fincantieri reinforces its commitment to technological innovation and sustainability, consolidating its leadership in the naval sector.
- Technical survey and energy assessment of the existing system
- Customized lighting design for the entire facility
